From St Chad to the Three Spires – the History of Lichfield

This tour gives you all of the highs, and lows, of Lichfield’s long history, from the 8^th century of St Chad, first Bishop of Lichfield, to the 21^st century of the Three Spires Shopping Centre. It takes you on a circular tour of the city centre, looking at all of the main characters, locations, buildings, battles and tales and featuring Samuel Johnson, the English Civil War, Spite House, the Coaching Inns, the controversial statue of Captain Smith of the Titanic and much, much more. This tour is ideal for the first time visitor or a local who just want to find out more about the city they live in!
